Everyone has their daily struggles that they endure to get through their day. As much as I love the daily grind, it can lead to various levels of stress and anxiety.

My stress starts at 5:30 AM everyday. I work for eight hours and drive through Los Angeles traffic for an hour both ways. Not only do I manage my blog, I also have a Virtual Assistant business on the side while working a 9-5 job. As much as I love staying busy, the stress of being on a tight schedule does drive me a little crazy.

I’ve found exercising to be the most effective way for me to unwind for the day. After an intense workout, I feel relieved after releasing all my built up anxiety and tension.

Human and animal research indicates that being physically active improves the way the body handles stress. Exercise increases dopamine and serotonin levels that affects moods and behaviors. Breaking the exercise into two 10- to 15-minute sessions, one before work and one at lunch time when possible, can help combat stress throughout the day. There have been consistent findings that people report feeling calmer after a 20- to 30-minute bout of aerobic exercise, and the calming effect can last for several hours after exercise

The feeling after a work is indescribable. My mood changes and I feel invincible. I recommend that people take at least 30 minutes out of their day to get some fresh air and exercise. For me, I love going for walks outside, even if it’s just around the block.

When you are feeling down, just get out and get moving.
